Rebwar Abdulkarim, our top chef and owner of Le Hollandais, is Kurdish-Iraqi by birth, but after more than 20 years in the capital feels like a true Amsterdammer. Rebwar gained extensive experience in the hospitality industry in Amsterdam, where he worked his way up to chef de cuisine. It was time for a new challenge: their own restaurant.
In the various catering businesses, Rebwar has learned all the intricacies about French cuisine. And this is what you taste! Everything in Le Hollandais cuisine is homemade and mostly prepared à la minute. At the restaurant, you will enjoy delicious dishes made with fresh products of the highest quality, selected by Rebwar and transported by cargo bike!
At Le Hollandais you will enjoy the true bistro feel, where everyone is welcome to enjoy great food. Don’t be surprised if you find Chef Rebwar on the floor, as he values contact with guests and, along with the rest of the staff, has one goal: to promise guests a great night.

About Le Hollandais
Have you heard of Le Hollandais before? This does not surprise us at all. In fact, we have been cooking the most delicious classic French dishes for our guests for over 25 years. In 2021, the new chef and owner, Rebwar Abdulkarim, revitalized our bistro.
We continue to serve traditional French dishes, but we give it a modern twist today. Occasionally we take a foray into the flavors and techniques used in Mediterranean cuisine. When you stay to eat with us you will be delighted with the recognition of the beloved classics, but you will also be surprised by the new and unique flavor combinations.
